| Required Documents for Applying Foreigner Permits | |

Foreigners who stay in China should have an L visa (Travel), an F visa (Business) or a Z visa (Working). If a foreigner wants to work in China for a long time, he should apply for some certificates according to governmental regulations. A foreigner who works in China with the F visa or the L visa need to apply for the employment permit, the invitation letter of visa, the employment certificate and the residence permit. There are the following three conditions:

If he is the chief representative or the general representative of a Rep. Office, he only needs to apply for the employment certificate and the residence permit. |
| 2. |
If he is the director of a multi-national company’s Shanghai headquarter, he only needs to apply for the residence permit. |
| 3. |
Despite of the above two conditions, all the foreigners who want to work in China should follow the procedure below.
